The Multiple Roles Of Blank Name Tags

By Timothy Robinson

They have become staple features of all sorts of functions and, by all indications, they are here to stay. Blank name tags are useful for corporate and social purposes. They help to make things more organized and easier to understand. This makes them very useful in this fast paced and commerce driven world.

They may be hand-crafted or purchased from a retailer. Typically they come with some method of attachment that allows for use on clothing. Some have tiny pins on the back while others have adhesive affixed to the back. Some are designed to resemble identification cards with pins that allow easy attachment to and removal from clothing.

These cards are customizable which makes them great for a wide range of purposes. Even though they are mostly used for identification purposes they serve other functions as well. This is why many event planners are starting to include them in their list of must haves for their projects.

They are often used at events such as high school reunions. Business meetings also feature these identification tools. They help to provide identification when official name tags are short in supply. This sometimes happen when last minute confirmations occur. When people show up without prior confirmation, or when they confirm after the name tags have already been produced, the need for this sort of alternative emerges. These labels also serve as a back up plan when oversights are discovered. In cases where some guests have been overlooked in the name tag creation process for instance, the blank ones can be used to fill the gap.

The fact that they are also so very flexible, makes them attractive to persons who plan and manage events. One way to use them creatively is to have the event's theme displayed on them. This creates a sense of unity and uniformity for the event.

These identification tools are not restricted to use as badges for people. They can also be used to label rooms. This is a non-conventional use that many event coordinators have discovered for the tags. Events with concurrent activities staking place in different rooms are managed better in this way. Guests and participants are able to move around to the appropriate sections of the venue when accurate labels are visible.

Planners and managers of events that feature displays have also found a new use for the labels. They use them to label each item on display. This is often seen at events such as culinary shows, bake sales and technology display shows. They help patrons and consumers to easily identify the products on display.

There are many other uses for these very handy labels. Another one for example, is the tagging of participants for group events. Team names or colors may be affixed to the blank labels allowing the groups' assigned members to find each other especially in a large gathering. This being one of the more unique uses for the labels, it is not far fetched to think that many other uses will be developed as event planners and managers exercise their creativity.
