The Weekend NFL Predictions Against The Spread

By Rebecca Ellis

The NFL divisional second round 2016 playoff schedule is just about to kick off. Before it commences, it could be of great fun and importance to look at the spreads with regards to this oncoming weeks round of Divisional games for the weekend. Here, I will outline an elaborate report on my NFL predictions against the spread, for the next oncoming round.

First, there is the hot contest between Kansas City Chiefs and New Englands Patriots. This is hopefully going to be an entertaining game to the fans, but difficult to the players. The Chiefs are at a disadvantage of having injured key players. For instance Rob Gronkowski will reportedly miss in that game, on medical grounds. The Patriots will also have to bear having to play without the crucial roles of Jeremy Maclin, who is an offensive player. This is because the player has merely practiced in the recent past, and not even once for the past one week. My judgment on this one is the Chiefs will struggle to keep up with the tough game within a goal.

Another entertaining encounter scheduled for the weekend is Green Bay Packers who will face it off against Arizona Cardinals. My opinion is that regardless of the fact that the Packers came from behind to force a win against the Washington of a humbling seventeen points, they are not as up to task as this win would try to insinuate.

With recognition of the fact that the Cardinals have not had an encounter for the past week, they obviously have reserved all their energies for this tussle. This is in addition to their recent sterling form, including hammering the same Packers with an unprecedented 38-8, a month ago. My view on this game is that the Cardinals will comfortably take the day.

In yet another sizzling match, the Carolina Panthers will be welcoming the Seattle Seahawks. The latter have had a seemingly difficult season if their performance in round one is anything to go by, and have surprisingly made it to the playoff matches. With reference to this track record, many would argue that they have nothing on the Panthers.

Worth noting, the Seahawks lost only narrowly, precisely by four points only, when the two met lastly. That was way before the Seahawks became smoking hot and finished at a sterling number one overall, in DVOA. It is my presumption that the Panthers are definitely going to be the team that has an average and regular performance in the season, but wash it away in the first playoffs.

There is also the Pittsburgh Steelers against Denver Broncos. The Steelers are not in very good form as they edge to counter Denver Broncos, and have had troubles reaching the playoffs. To add more insult to injury, the team will be without their best receiver, Antonio Brown, and also their leading rusher, DeAngelo Williams. Even worse, Ben Roethlisberger will not be in perfect shape, following the injury he suffered in Wild Card round.

However, they are also faced with a regrettable blow of having to play without essential game changers like Antonio Brown and DeAngelo Williams. I presume that the Broncos will narrowly outweigh the Steelers.
