Nearly everyone in the world's developed countries now has access to email, and that makes nearly everyone a candidate for email marketing. This is a tremendous opportunity for marketers to send a message about their product and get a one-on-one chance for a look at what they have to offer. Prospective customers should be know what your message is all about within the first few seconds of reading your email. You should inset a call-to-action shortly after your message.

A membership website should only require a name and an email address. If you require more than that, your potential subscribers might feel your sign up process is too much of a hassle.

The best thing about using email marketing is that it is free to use. Most email marketers will go to great lengths to build lists of people who have similar interests and then keep the list in the group for the marketing.
